I have always loved the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico and most recently had the pleasure of enjoying the lovely Nizuc Resort, just outside of Cancun.
It has a chic contemporary feel – minimalist but warm and comforting at the same time. These days I am all about simplicity in design and Nizuc delivered on every level. Our room, an Ocean Suite, overlooked the beautiful azure waters and beach below. It was spectacular from morning until sunset – never a disappointing view.
Nizuc has one of the most beautiful swim up bars I have been to, but it also has a delightful adults only pool. This was a weekend without kids so we migrated to the adult pool quite often. The waitstaff was so attentive, I almost felt guilty not ordering anything when they came by. Refresh your cocktail señora? Si, por favor! More towels Señora? Si por favor!
The spa at Nizuc is a must do. My husband and I indulged in the blissful hydrotherapy experience offered here. If you haven’t tried this, then you are missing out. For an hour an half I was guided through hot shower, salt scrub, cold therapy, sauna, jetted massage pools, you name it…I did it. Fortunately for our clients, Hydrotherapy is a complimentary Virtuoso Amenity offered for 2 guests during their stay when booked through Kim Heflin Travel.
Dining options at Nizuc are plentiful with six different award winning venues. My personal favorite was La Punta for dinner where the fresh ceviche kept me coming back for more.
Nizuc is a wonderful option for couples, families or getaways with friends. With daily non stop flights from most major cities and an easy 10 minute transfer from the airport, Nizuc is an ideal spot for your next Mexican Holiday.
